Our Vision

Mudita’s vision is an India in which no child shall be deprived of education because of Social Stigma and Poverty.

Our Educational Approach

Learning should be through doing things and lived experiences rather than by more lectures. Our unprecedented educational model reaches beyond individual children to tackle poverty and discrimination and create positive change in their families and communities. We nurture integrity, generosity, and compassion in our children.

Welcome to Mudita School

Mudita School with a dream for every child to have equal access to quality education was founded in 2019. It is run by Mudita Multipurpose Society, registered Non-Profit Organisation under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 and the Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950 registration number F-27612 in Amravati (Maharashtra) India.

Mudita is a unique educational model school that works exclusively for children born into India's lowest social and economic class. One of the basic principles of Mudita is that all children must have equal educational opportunities to learn and ensuring high-quality education and training.

Mudita is a Pali word that means “Pure Joy” It is commonly explained by comparing it to the “Joy and Satisfaction” a parent gets from watching their child grow into a successful and positively contributing citizen.

Story of the day

"Teaching children about healthy lifestyle is the best way to educate an entire community to safeguard their health by making it a priority. Working in remote corners and slum areas,

Mudita School

Life for low-caste villagers children in rural India is a vicious cycle of oppression, kept them in motion by illiteracy, and lack of quality educational opportunities. Mudita is a unique educational model school that operates Early Childhood Education-Pre-Primary exclusively for children from disadvantaged and impoverished families. Mudita empowers children from India’s lowest socioeconomic class to break the cycle of generational poverty and social discrimination through education, leadership, and compassion.

Our response in COVID-19 Virus Outbreak

The number of COVID-19 cases is “steeply rising” with each day in India, so too an increase in violence, discrimination, hunger, and huge unemployment. The lockdown in India left 400 million daily-wage labourers, the majority of whom are marginalised people, with no income source of food and, for many, no way home. For these people, proper health awareness practices are already low and, compounded with their poverty, hugely increases their vulnerability. It is likely that the incoming monsoon season will magnify the spread of the virus even more. Since, April, with the help of our well wishers, friends and family, we have been working so hard to provide emergency relief support for underprivileged families so that they can take care of themselves and their children during the Coronavirus outbreak. So far, still today, we have provided rations and essential goods 465 families.

Our Goal

We don’t know how long this crisis will last. What we do know is that the most vulnerable communities will suffer the most. Our aim is to support 1500 families in this difficult crisis.

Our Immediate Emergency Response

Our first priority is the health and well-being of those families directly impacted by the crisis.
This includes:

  • Distributing rations and essential goods to needy families
  • Communicating health awareness for vulnerable communities
  • Protecting children from severe malnutrition

The crisis is a global issue, and while the communities we work with may live in the margins, their health and well-being affects us all. We will be doing everything to support them in this difficult time but we need your help to respond. Please, support us by making a donation below so that we can make sure the most vulnerable families survive this crisis.

Thank you.
